A political meeting was held in Lahore where former Governor of Punjab and President of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) South Punjab, Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood, met with Dr. Rashida Bhutta, Chairperson of Aam Aadmi Tehreek Pakistan, former candidate for NA-189, and former member of the Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Also present was Farhan Ullah Malik Advocate, former PTI candidate for PP-285 and a member of the Punjab Council of PTI. During the meeting, both Dr. Rashida Bhutta and Farhan Ullah Malik officially announced their decision to join the Pakistan Peoples Party. The event was attended by PPP MPA Shazia Abid, District President of PPP Taunsa Sardar Azam Khan Malghani, General Secretary of PPP Taunsa Sardar Fayyaz Khan Malghani, Suleman Khan, Syed Atta Haider Gilani, and other party leaders. Speaking on the occasion, Makhdoom Syed Ahmed Mahmood welcomed the new members into the party and expressed confidence that their experience and political background would strengthen the Pakistan Peoples Party in South Punjab. He said the party values committed leadership and teamwork to serve the people and promote democratic politics. The joining of these political leaders is being seen as an important development in the political landscape of South Punjab, where political alliances and party memberships continue to evolve ahead of future political activities.
