He said that the Ombudsman office provides an easy and accessible platform for citizens to lodge complaints related to any government department. According to him, the process is very simple, as citizens can submit their complaints on plain paper without the need for any legal assistance or a lawyer. Amir Khattak explained that every complaint is taken seriously and is not closed until the issue of the complainant is fully resolved. He added that the Ombudsman Punjab ensures that most complaints are addressed within 90 days, providing timely relief to the public. He urged citizens to make use of this facility without hesitation and to report any issues they face with government departments so that they can receive prompt justice. He stressed that the institution is working to ensure transparency, accountability, and quick resolution of public grievances. SP Investigation Taunsa Sharif Briefs Media on Crime Control Operations The SP Investigation Taunsa Sharif addressed a press conference, apologizing for the delay due to official engagements. He stated that he had previously served as SHO in Taunsa Sharif and praised the local population as educated, aware, and cooperative. He further said that despite certain ideological challenges, the people of the area have always rejected anti-social elements, and extremist groups have never been allowed to establish a foothold in the region. He added that the police remain fully committed to protecting the lives and property of citizens and will continue their efforts without any compromise. The SP Investigation said that police operations against criminals are ongoing without discrimination, and bringing offenders to justice is their top priority. He provided details of several successful cases, including the resolution of a double murder case registered at Police Station Saddar, in which stolen cash amounting to three lakh rupees was recovered. He also mentioned that in a kidnapping for ransom case, the police traced the suspects and safely recovered the victim. In other cases of target killings and murder, the accused were arrested and handed over to the law. According to him, the police have recovered approximately 25 million rupees in total during various operations. This includes recoveries of 5 million rupees from Police Station Saddar, 20 million from Taunsa Police Station, 2.4 million from Retra, and 150,000 rupees from Wuhawa. He added that 30 cases related to weapons and narcotics were registered, while 16 proclaimed offenders and 158 B-category offenders were arrested. During multiple operations, illegal weapons including Kalashnikovs, pistols, and other arms were also recovered in 45 different cases. The SP reiterated that the police force is actively working to eliminate crime and ensure peace in the region.

Jamaat-e-Islami Holds Unusual Donkey Rally in Taunsa Sharif Against Fuel Price Hike Jamaat-e-Islami organized a unique protest rally in Taunsa Sharif against the recent increase in petroleum prices, where party workers rode donkeys while chanting slogans against inflation and government policies. According to details, the rally was part of a countrywide protest campaign, and in Taunsa Sharif it started under the supervision of local party workers. Participants carried banners and raised slogans against rising fuel prices, inflation, and increasing utility bills. The rally later turned into a public gathering at Kalma Chowk, where participants strongly criticized the government’s economic policies. They further stated that rising electricity bills are an additional burden on the people and urged the government to reduce expenses, eliminate corruption, and provide relief to the public. **Punjab Launches Mobile Pest Surveillance Service for Farmers in Taunsa Sharif** The Government of Punjab has officially launched the **Mobile Pest Surveillance Squad Service** under the Department of Agriculture's Pest Warning Wing to provide technical support to farmers, ensure the availability of quality agricultural pesticides, and help control crop pests and diseases at an early stage. However, despite the registration of the FIR, he claimed that no significant progress has been made in recovering the missing woman. Kifayat Ullah expressed serious concern for his sister-in-law's safety, saying that her life is in danger. He added that if any harm comes to her, he would hold the concerned police officials and the alleged kidnappers responsible. He urged the Chief Minister of Punjab, Maryam Nawaz, Commissioner Dera Ghazi Khan, Deputy Commissioner Usman Khalid, and the Commandant of the Border Military Police (BMP) to take immediate notice of the matter and ensure the woman's early and safe recovery. The family has appealed to the authorities to speed up the investigation, arrest those involved, and bring the woman back safely as soon as possible. The case remains under investigation.

A tragic incident took place near Mangroth Road in Taunsa Sharif, where a 55-year-old bank security guard, Abdul Sattar, was shot dead after reportedly resisting an armed robbery. The grand sanitation operation launched in Taunsa Sharif on the occasion of Eid-ul-Adha under the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif “Sathra Punjab” has come to an end after successfully achieving all its goals. In this regard a grand success rally was organized by the Sathra Punjab Agency Taunsa Sharif from Kalma Chowk followed by a grand closing ceremony with Assistant Commissioner Taunsa Muhammad Junaid Khan as the special guest. In the final and most important phase of the campaign the field force of the Sathra Punjab Agency thoroughly washed all major and minor roads squares and commercial centers of Taunsa. Through manual sweeping and a modern working model disinfectants and rose water mixed with water were used. As a result the atmosphere of the entire city was protected from the dangers of epidemic diseases and filled with the pleasant fragrance of rose water. Citizens highly appreciated this unique performance of the agency. A large number of field staff and sanitary workers including Tehsil Managers Rizwan Tayyab and Huzaifa Masood participated in the success rally and closing ceremony with great enthusiasm. On this occasion Assistant Commissioner Taunsa Muhammad Junaid Khan and the administrative officers of the Sathra Punjab Agency acknowledged the services of the hardworking workers who worked day and night during the Eid holidays. Breaking the traditional office distance they personally distributed sweets among the workers. The field workers expressed their happiness at this encouragement from the officers and raised slogans in support of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz and “Sathra Punjab Agency Taunsa Zindabad.” This reflected the agency’s commitment to setting a new and high standard of public service delivery.

IG Punjab visited Taunsa Sharif and took a detailed look at the damage caused by the bomb blast at Jhangi Check Post. He inspected the building destroyed in the blast and also reviewed the security situation. On this occasion, IG Punjab visited the house of Shaheed Mudassar Jaskani and met his family and expressed his condolences. He also prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s ranks and forgiveness. IG Punjab said that the death of a martyr is the life of the nation and the martyrs are the pride and wealth of our nation. He said that Punjab Police will never leave the families of its martyrs alone and stands with them in every difficult time. He added that the sacrifices of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the protection of the homeland and the people will always be remembered. IG Punjab appreciated the bravery of the security personnel and also announced the immediate construction of Jhangi Check Post so that the security system can be made more effective.
