**Punjab Launches Mobile Pest Surveillance Service for Farmers in Taunsa Sharif** The Government of Punjab has officially launched the **Mobile Pest Surveillance Squad Service** under the Department of Agriculture's Pest Warning Wing to provide technical support to farmers, ensure the availability of quality agricultural pesticides, and help control crop pests and diseases at an early stage. As part of this initiative, a mobile service van has also been provided for Taunsa Sharif to deliver agricultural assistance directly to farmers in their fields. The program aims to improve crop production, reduce losses, and provide timely guidance at farmers' doorsteps. A launching ceremony was held in Taunsa Sharif, where former MPA and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) leader Khawaja Nizam-ul-Mahmood, along with former City Nazim Pir Bashir Jafar, officially inaugurated the mobile van. During the event, farmers were informed about modern agricultural practices, the identification of crop pests and diseases, and effective methods to protect their crops. Speaking at the ceremony, Khawaja Nizam-ul-Mahmood and former City Nazim Pir Bashir Jafar said that the Punjab Government is taking practical steps to support farmers and strengthen the agricultural sector. They said that agricultural experts would now be able to visit farms directly and provide timely advice to help farmers protect their crops. Assistant Director Agriculture Malik Sanaullah said that the Mobile Pest Surveillance Squad would regularly monitor crops and provide farmers with immediate guidance on modern farming techniques and effective pest and disease management. He added that the initiative is expected to increase agricultural production and improve farmers' income. The ceremony was also attended by former Chairman Salahuddin Buzdar, Sardar Rafiq Khan Sanjrani, Hayat Khan Makli, Mujahid-ur-Rehman Goga, Nizam Bakhsh, Muhammad Suleman Jafar, and other local dignitaries and farmers.
